Park Beach Plaza
Park Beach Plaza, the dominant retail centre in Coffs Harbour, is located two kilometres north of the Coffs Harbour City Centre at the intersection of the Pacific Highway and Park Beach Road, Coffs Harbour. Coffs Harbour is a major service centre for retail, tourism, aquaculture, education, agriculture, and government sectors of the Mid North Coast of New South Wales. The Coffs Coast is one of the fastest growing and most dynamic areas within regional New South Wales and is one of Australia’s favourite conference destinations, boasting four world class resorts.
Park Beach Plaza is a fully enclosed, single level, regional shopping centre occupying a site of 14.25 hectares, with a current gross lettable area of 42,178.59 square metres. It was built in six stages, and opened in October 1979. Subsequent stages of extension and refurbishment occurred in 1980, 1984, 1986 and 1996. The final stage was completed in September 2001, which included a remix of tenancies and a new Big W discount department store and extra specialty shops. Multi-level car park built in 2012.
The centre consists of five majors (Big W, Woolworths, Target, Aldi and Ritchies Supa IGA) and 125 specialty stores, including a food court comprising 9 tenancies with seating for 420 customers. The car park has a good distribution of car spaces and consists of 2,293 car parking spaces. The centre has a strong mix of national retailers, financial institutions, and service outlets, with three freestanding retailers: Aldi, KFC and Woolworths Plus Petrol. Park Beach Plaza is the premier shopping destination servicing Coffs Harbour, surrounding districts and hinterland. In fact, Park Beach Plaza is the largest shopping centre between Newcastle and the Gold Coast.
Coffs Harbour is located some 538kms north of Sydney, 393kms north of Newcastle and some 399kms south of Brisbane. The trade area covers a geographical spread from Port Macquarie in the south to Yamba in the north and out west to Tamworth, Armidale, Inverell and Glen Innes.
